Rochester, MI- Oakland University Hockey head coach Jeremy Bachusz
has been named as the 2011-2012 GLCHL Coach of the Year.
“It's an honor to win Coach of the Year for our league.” Bachusz stated.
“It is a testament to the way our team played this season and to the way that we finished at the National Tournament.”
Bachusz led the Grizzlies to the GLCHL regular season title and an automatic bid to the National Tournament. He also led his team to victory in the 2012 “Good Luck Duck” series.
His team finished first place in the GLCHL with a 14-5-1 record. Under Bachusz the Grizzlies are 4-1 in the GLCHL Playoffs winning in 2011 and are 32-10-2 against conference opponents.
The Grizzlies also advanced to the 2012 ACHA DI National Championship game.
Bachusz has a career record of 74-39-10 and a winning percentage of 60.
Under Bachusz the Grizzlies have advanced further in the National Tournament than the previous season finishing ranked 12th in 2010, eighth in 2011 and second in 2012.
