Rochester, MI- The defending GLCHL playoff champion Grizzlies have the first round of the conference playoffs off due to finishing first and receiving a first round bye.
The Grizzlies will return to action on Saturday in round two of the GLCHL playoffs at either 5pm or 8pm depending on Friday's results. The GLCHL playoffs are being hosted by Adrian College.
Scouting Oakland: The Grizzlies are led up front by forward Billy Balent who leads the team with 42 points. Forward David Merkle has eight goals and ten assists. Jon Connors adds depth up front with his 18 points while Captain Brian Baker has recorded four goals and ten assists along with Ethan Range with ten points. On the blueline the hard hitting Dustin Hopfner leads the way with 11 goals and 22 assists and Jacob DeSano has 19 points. Kurt Schoenherr adds depth and has added two assists along with Cody Farber and his two assists. In net Corey Hrischuk (9-6-0) has a 2.94 goals against average and a save percentage of 89% while Matt Toter (10-8-2) has a 3.11 goals against average and a save percentage of 87%
